Safety

Independent safety assessment

Each product has been assessed by an independent chartered chemist and safety assessor and holds a Cosmetic Product Safety Report under the UK Cosmetics Regulation (retained Regulation (EC) 1223/2009). Both were concluded safe for their intended use as leave-on facial masks for adults, with no mandatory warning statements required on the label. Neither formula contains added fragrance, essential oils, ethanol or photosensitising ingredients.

Professional use

Cosmacure masks are supplied to trained aesthetic professionals. Whether and when to apply a mask after a procedure is always the practitioner's clinical decision, based on the treatment performed, the skin in front of them and the manufacturer guidance for the device or peel used. As with any new topical, a patch test is sensible for clients with a history of reactivity to botanical ingredients.

Directions and precautions

  • For external use only. Avoid direct contact with the eyes; if serum enters the eyes, rinse with clean water.
  • Single use. Apply to clean skin, leave on for 20–30 minutes, remove and press the remaining serum into the skin. Do not rinse.
  • Discontinue use if irritation, stinging that does not settle, or a rash develops, and seek advice from the treating practitioner.
  • Store sealed, flat, out of direct sunlight and away from heat. Do not use if the sachet is damaged.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Reporting

If a client experiences an unexpected reaction to a Cosmacure product, please tell us at the contact page so it can be recorded and, where required, reported. Practitioner reports are how the safety record of a professional product is kept honest.
